  • "Veia de pajé" is another term used in Brazilian indigenous culture to refer to a type of Rapé, or sacred medicinal snuff. Like Pixuri, it is prepared from a blend of powdered tobacco leaves (Nicotiana rustica) and various medicinal plants, often including ashes from specific trees or plants.

The preparation and usage of Veia de pajé are similar to Pixuri. It involves a ceremonial process where the ingredients are meticulously ground into a fine powder and then administered into the nostrils using a blowpipe called a "Tepi" or a "Kuripe" by another person. This ritualistic practice is conducted as a means of spiritual cleansing, healing, and connecting with the spiritual realm.

Veia de pajé, like other forms of Rapé, is believed to possess therapeutic properties. It is said to clear the mind, enhance focus, and induce a state of heightened awareness. Additionally, it is used for its potential medicinal benefits, such as relieving headaches, sinus congestion, and promoting overall well-being.

In indigenous traditions, Veia de pajé holds significant cultural and spiritual importance. It is often used in shamanic rituals, spiritual ceremonies, and healing practices to facilitate communication with ancestral spirits, seek guidance from the natural world, and address physical and spiritual ailments.

Similar to Pixuri, the use of Veia de pajé should be approached with respect and caution, as it is a potent substance with psychoactive effects. It is typically administered under the guidance of experienced practitioners who understand its proper usage and dosage. Additionally, its consumption is often accompanied by specific cultural protocols and traditions to ensure its safe and respectful use.
